Mizkan to Open New R&D Facility

MT. PROSPECT, Ill.Mizkan Americas announced plans to open a new R&D facility in Lake Alfred, Fla. The U.S. headquarters for Mizkan Americas will remain in Mt. Prospect, Ill.

The 2,000-square-foot facility will be housed within the existing Lake Alfred manufacturing facility, and will produce vinegars, cooking wines, salted spirits, non-alcoholic mixers and wine reductions.

Dr. Esmond Joseph will manage the new R&D facility. Dr. Joseph earned his bachelors and masters degrees in Food Science from Alabama A & M University and his doctorate degree in food science from Louisiana State University.  Dr. Joseph has more than 25 years of research and development experience in the food industry.
