Oreo Attempts World Record on Facebook

EAST HANOVER, N.J.Oreo is jumping on the social media bandwagon with an attempt to set the Guinness World Records® mark for the Most likes on a Facebook post in 24 hours."

According to the company, the attempt aims to bring to life the brands ability to bring families worldwide together in new, contemporary ways all for the shared love of an Oreo cookie. The record attempt begins Feb. 15 at 9 a.m. ET. The 16 million fans on Oreos Facebook page will have 24 hours to like" a post from the iconic cookie brand. According to official Guinness World Records rules, a minimum of 45,000 likes" will be needed to earn the title and become the Worlds Most Liked" Cookie. If successful, Oreo will become the first brand to hold a Facebook Guinness World Records title.
