Rodale Organic Pricing Index Online

KUTZTOWN, Pa.--The first-ever wholesale priceindex of certified organic foods--The New Farm Organic Price Index (OPX)--wasmade available by The Rodale Institute as of February 2003. Using the pricingguide, organic farmers can competitively and fairly price their foods to avoidarbitrary pricing, according to Rodale. The OPX will be available free of chargeat www.newfarm.org, and will track pricesof selected produce, grains, dairy and meats that are organically grown orraised in the United States. Updated weekly, the price data will be drawn fromboth public and private sources.
