NEW YORKA recent Reuters article reported sales of soft drinks have skyrocketed nationwide as retailers slashed pricesup to 20 percentto cash in on the Memorial Day holiday. One beverage industry analyst predicted big box retailers such as Wal-Mart to continue the low prices through the summer, and that bottlers and suppliers will be challenged keep up with demand.
