HONG KONGThe organizers behind Vitafoods Europe, an event for the nutraceutical, functional foods and functional drinks industry launched Vitafoods Asia, which will debut in Hong Kong Sept. 7-9, 2011 at AsiaWorld-Expo.

Chris Lee, Vitafoods exhibition director, explained the thinking behind the launch: We have been researching the possibility of introducing Vitafoods Asia for some time now. Our extensive studies have shown us there is already huge demand for nutraceuticals in Asia and startling potential for growth. So suppliers of nutraceutical ingredients, functional foods and drinks, pharmaceutical products and nutricosmetics need to have a presence at the show if they are serious about developing their business in this potentially lucrative market.

Taking place over three days, Vitafoods Asia will give exhibitors exposure to thousands of potential customers and partners from Asia. Vitafoods Asia is set to attract visitors from the manufacturing, distribution, wholesale, import/export, research, retail, science, marketing, purchasing and product development areas of the industry from every major Asian country, including Hong Kong, Singapore, China, Japan, Taiwan, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, South Korea, Philippines, India, Australia and New Zealand, as well as those from outside the area looking to break into the market.
