Metagenics Offers Lifestyle Med Certification

SAN FRANCISCOMetagenics will hold a FirstLine Therapy® Certification program from Oct. 18 to 21 in San Francisco, Calif. The program will help physicians, osteopaths, naturopathic physicians, functional medicine providers and their staffs to address metabolic syndrome. The FirstLine certification follows Metagenics' emphasis on lifestyle medicine, and attendees can expect to learn a complete practice management system, ranging from clinical tools to business management.

Lifestyle medicine therapies are the recommended approach to treat many common health issues associated with metabolic syndrome," said Jacob Kornberg M.D., director of medical education for Metagenics. The FirstLine Therapy program gives practitioners the tools they need to comply with these recommendations while helping their patients achieve better health by addressing the cause, not just the symptoms, of their condition."

In the FirstLine program, participants will learn how to individualize treatment for patients, including interpreting assessments and strategizing behavior modifications.
