Polyphenol Products Earns Kosher Certification

PURCHSE, NYOligonol®, manufactured from the extract of lychee fruit and green tea, has earned kosher certification from Kof-K, one of the top such agencies. The product, a low molecular weight polyphenol, is made by Amino Up Chemical Company and is distributed by Maypro Industries.

The company drew a rave response from certifiers. "In the many years that I have spent inspecting plants worldwide, Amino Up in Japan, which produces the Oligonol product, is one of the top facilities that I have ever had the opportunity to review.," said Rabbi Michoel Brukman, the head of Kof-K's certification process for Oligonol. "The excellence is apparent in all aspects of this state-of-the-art facility including quality control, equipment and lighting. This plant is a model to be admired."
