MINNEAPOLISTaiyo International's Sunphenon® manufacturing facility, Taiyo Green Power, and its complete line of Sunphenon® green tea extracts and Matcha Powder have been certified halal by The Indonesian Council of Ulama (MUI). As part of the certification process, MUI examined, inspected and audited the manufacturing facility and all ingredients. It declared all Sunphenon® extracts and green tea powders produced at the Taiyo Green Power facility as halal, according to the Islamic Law, and thereby suitable for use by Muslims.

Achieving halal certification is critical to the growth of Sunphenon and is further sign of Taiyos commitment to delivering safe, effective and compliant products for all, said Scott Smith, VP of Taiyo International.  According to the Indonesian Council of Ulama, MUI Halal certification is acknowledged by over 22 countries and 48 Islamic institutions worldwide.
