SAO PAULOThe 2014 Vitafoods South America will focus on regulatory affairs and health claims in São Paulo in April.

The exhibition will feature interactive panel discussions and speakers providing insight on marketing, regulatory trends and research for functional foods and nutraceuticals, April 8 to 9 at the Transamerica Expo.

South America is in the throes of a developmental boom," said Chris Lee, Vitafoods portfolio director. "Consumers have greater spending power and are increasingly interested in integrating functional food, drinks and dietary supplements into their daily life. As a result, the market for these products is expected to hit $13 billion by 2017."

Vitafoods will showcase thousands of innovative ingredients from more than 130 exhibitors worldwide. In addition, EAS Strategic Advice will be offering complimentary one-on-one Regulatory Advice Sessions.

The conference is expected to draw record delegate numbers reflecting the burgeoning market. Vitafoods Europe attracted more than 12,335 visitors, 700 exhibitors and 250 delegates last year.
