Vitafoods South America Adds Booths, Features

SAO PAULO, BrazilAfter its successful debut last year, Vitafoods South America has doubled in size for its 2013 event, scheduled for March 26 to 27 at the Sao Paulo Transamerica Expo Center. The vent is designed to provide leading manufacturers and distributors to meet with suppliers of raw materials and ingredients to help foster new business in the world's fastest growing nutraceutical market, according to Vitafoods. New this year will be a Finished Product Zone, an area dedicated to for dietary supplement and food and drink companies to showcase products.

Were looking forward to building on the success of last years debut with an event entirely unique to South America, offering cutting-edge insights into trends and developments in the worlds fastest growing nutraceuticals market," said Chris Lee, portfolio director for Vitafoods.

Vitafoods noted this is the only dedicated nutraceutical event in South Americaand will feature 125 leading global nutraceutical companies such as Graminex, Nexira, Croda, Fortitech and Copalis. First-time exhibitors include the global companies Bionov, Kemin, Plantex, Rousselot and Tovani.

Companies participating in the new Finished product Zone include Allivictus, Bio Minerals, Hankintatukku, Florais de Saint Germain, and Life-On Health Care. The area will feature a Tasting Bar, where visitors can sample finished supplements, foods and beverages.

Another new feature in this year's event will be a Seminar Theatre, which will be located on the show floor and offer attendees expert presentations on research, products and innovations from various exhibitors, including Finnish food supplement firm Hankintatukku Oy, global marine ingredients supplier Copalis, and U.S.-based non-solvent flower pollen extract manufacturer Graminex.

The Seminar Theatre will also feature an exclusive regulatory workshop from EAS Consulting, designed to educate attendees on regional and international regulations that might impact new product launches in South America. The three-hour workshop will provide an overview of the regulatory environment in South America, including Brazil, Argentina and Chile. EAS experts will also offer free one-on-one advice sessions covering a range of topics from regulation and formulation to labeling and claims.

A carryover from last year will be the New Products Zone, which will feature the very latest products such as SATIEREAL patented saffron extract from USA Health Supply.
