ST. FRANCIS, Wis.Wixon, Inc., now offers gluten-free seasonings and mixes in order to extend its customer's product lines and meet the demands of the growing gluten-free market segment.

Nearly 1.6 million Americans are on a gluten-free diet and the sector is expected to hit $6.2 billion by 2018. Wixon introduced a sampling of gluten-free seasonings and mixes that include its Gluten-Free Chocolate Brownie Mix with a hint of cinnamon and coffee, Gluten-Free Honey Butter Corn Bread Mix, Gluten-Free Vanilla Muffin Mix featuring a small amount of cinnamon and its Gluten-Free Seasoned Pizza Crust Mix which contains a blend of thyme, rosemary and basil as well as onion and garlic.

The company sources its gluten-free raw materials from qualified vendor partners, who provide a gluten-free Statement of Assurance. The company's segregated blending suites and operations handling avoid cross contamination. Further, its blends are tested to confirm gluten-free status and validate Wixon's gluten-free procedures. Also, the gluten-free raw materials and ingredients are stored in segregated areas. The company is GFSI Certified to FSSC22000, the globally-recognized model of food safety.
