National Enzyme Co.

FORSYTH, Mo.--National Enzyme Co.'s(www.nationalenzymecompany.com) R&D team has designed two proprietary blends as a safe alternative topancreatin: n*zimesPA and n*zimesPA-L. The first consists of a blend of proteases, amylases and lipases isolated from fungal sources, and the second contains the same fungal protease and amylase, but has an increase in fungal lipase for diets high in fat. Both products were developed to express activity over a broad range of pHs to be active in both the acidic environment of the stomach and the alkaline environment of the small intestine. The main advantage of fungal/plant enzymes are their broad substrate specificity, so they are equipped to deal with a variety of substrates and to aid the body's digestion of food.
