REDMOND, Wash.—Nutraceutix is celebrating 25 years in business in 2008, and will be promoting its range of probiotic products and technologies at SupplySide West, Oct. 22 to 24 in Las Vegas. “We are excited to celebrate 25 years of manufacturing excellence, and know that our quality-conscious customers are celebrating the fact that their probiotic products meet all regulatory requirements for labeling and potency,” said Steve Moger, president and CEO.

The company noted federal requirements mandate manufacturers ensure labels are complete and accurate as to the contents and, if an expiration date is provided, the product maintain potency through that date, with supporting scientific evidence to show that is the case. As Nutraceutix produces natural, non-GMO probiotics, it has invested in research and formulation that have resulted in a number of innovative, patented probiotic stability processes and technologies, such as LiveBac®, Bio-tract®, Viablend® and ProbioSphere®. These allow the company to provide finished products that meet label claim at expiration, even if stored at room temperature.

In addition, the company can apply its technologies to both its own in-house strains and third-party strains. “We’re often consulted about the potential merit of proprietary strains,” said Tim Gamble, vice president of sales and marketing. “We always suggest that if the client is willing to pay the price for a proprietary strain, then they should choose a contract manufacturer and finished form that protects the investment by ensuring that the product survives manufacture, meets label claim and delivers viable organisms to the consumer’s body.”
