WASHINGTON—Pollutants, bacteria, fertilizer, Tylenol and industrial chemicals are just some of 38 contaminants found in 10 U.S. bottled water brands, according to a study conducted by the Environmental Working Group (EWG). AOL Health reported that while all brands “met federal health standards, two violated the California state standard.” In addition, “in some cases, it appears bottled water is no less polluted than tap water and, at 1,900 times the cost, consumers should expect better," said study co-author Jane Houlihan.
