LONDON—A rapid prototyping process for swift market delivery and ease in customer decision making is part of Tate & Lyle’s new ENRICH® service, which focuses on three main areas—digestive health and immunity, obesity and weight management, and children’s health. The goal of the service is to create products packed with additional nutrients while maintaining optimal taste. Prototypes for the beverage, dairy and bakery categories are now available. Harvey Chimoff, director of marketing, Americas, for Tate & Lyle (www.tateandlyle.com), said: “Through 2010, health & wellness packaged food is forecast to grow 21 percent versus a 9 percent growth for regular packaged food in Western Europe. In the United States, the predicted growth is similar. Enriched food and beverages brands that deliver enhanced nutrition but still taste great will be ideally positioned to capitalize on this trend.”
