AHCC®, Oligonol® Plant Not Affected by Japan Disaster

PURCHASE, N.Y.Production of AHCC® and Oligonol® have not been affected by the recent events in Japan, according to their supplier Maypro Industries. Maypro said Amino Up Chemical Company,  the manufacturer of both ingredients, operates its plant in the city of Sapporo on the far northern island of Hokkaido, located more than 350 miles from the disaster area. Therefore, Amino Up has not experienced any infrastructure disruptions.

"All of us are greatly saddened by the recent events in Japan," said Steve Yamada, president of Maypro Industries.  "But we are relieved that our close partners at Amino Up have not been affected by the recent events and that there have been no disruptions in the production of AHCC and Oligonol."

Amino Up has also announced that they are proceeding with their plans to complete the scheduled expansion of their plant, which will increase the production capacity of both AHCC and Oligonol in order to keep pace with the growth of both products.
