GARDONNE, FranceBerkem introduced Powergrape® dietary energy and recovery supplement at Vitafoods 2007. The product potentitates energy production from cellular mitochondria because of its high antioxidant levels. In a double blind, crossover, placebo-controlled study, done in collaboration with French clinical research organization Avantage Nutrition, Berkem (www.berkem.com) researchers noted significant improvement in recovery and performance in sportsmen after 400 mg/d supplementation with Powergrape. Further results of the study are expected later this year.
