ESCONDIDO, Calif.
Dr. Bernard Jensen, a pioneer in the natural health industry, passed away in his sleep at his home here on Feb. 22, 2001. He was 92. Jensen wrote more than 30 books on health and natural healing. Among his titles were Nutrition Handbook, Herbs: Wonder Healers and The Science and Practice of Iridology. His extensive research in iridology (the study of the iris of the eye for indications of bodily health and disease) and nutrition earned him the title "Father of Iridology".
