MINNEAPOLISBioenergy Inc., which specializes in the development and commercialization of D-ribose, has completed agreements for the distribution of Bioenergys Corvalen® brand of energy supplements by companies affiliated with Atrium Innovations. Under terms of the agreements, Douglas Laboratories will exclusively distribute Corvalen products for professional use; Nutri-Health Supplements, LLC, will sell Corvalen through direct-to-consumer channels; and Sedona Labs will distribute Corvalen to the retail health food store market.

The agreements with Atrium come on the heels of a record fiscal year 2010 (FY10) for Bioenergy, with revenues up 26 percent over the prior year. In fact, both revenues and operating income for the year were record levels for Bioenery. The ingredient side of Bioenergy, which includes Bioenergy Ribose®, charted notable growth over FY10, which contributed to the positive overall fiscal results. In 2011, Bioenergy plans to focus its efforts on the development of pharmaceutical and biologic products based on the companys patents.

Were pleased to complete these agreements because they not only show that Atrium Innovations recognizes the value of the Corvalen brand and the benefits of D-Ribose for health and wellness, but this also allows Bioenergy to bring our focus back to what we do best: the research and development of ribose-based pharmaceutical and biologic products, said Raj Khankari, CEO of Bioenergy Inc.

Douglas Laboratories, which will sell and distribute Corvalen to medical professionals only, has a 50-year history researching, developing and manufacturing supplements that help people improve their health. Also, the company employs a large sales force calling on medical professionals nationwide.

We are proud to add professional-use Corvalen to our line of nutraceutical products, said Doug Lioon, CEO of Douglas Laboratories.  Becoming the exclusive provider of Corvalen to healthcare practitioners enhances our company promise to provide the best and latest supplements on the market.

Nutri-Health Supplements and Sedona Labs, which develop and market  probiotic and enzyme products and other nutritional supplements, will hold the rights to sell Corvalen consumer products through retail stores, online and by phone.

Energy-restoring supplements are in high demand by todays consumers, and were excited that Nutri-Health and Sedona Labs can now offer Corvalen products through retail and direct-to-consumer channels, said Rene Augstburger, vice president of marketing strategies for Atrium Innovations.
