MINNEAPOLIS Bioenergy Life Science Inc. is debuting three product prototypes at the IFT Food Expo in Chicago, all designed to show food companies how mainstream products can incorporate Bioenergy RIBOSE®. Visitors to the Bioenergy booth (#4900) can sample Ribo Morning Toaster Fruit Tarts, Ribo Charger Creamer and Gabes Ribo Energy Gel Shots.

Bioenergy RIBOSE is natural, energizing, and extremely versatile for use in new food and beverage products, said Kathy Lund, vice president of sales and marketing for Bioenergys Ingredients Division. We are excited to launch these new application concepts, and they are only just the beginning. There are numerous other possibilities for using Bioenergy RIBOSE to add functionality to products.

The Ribo Morning Toaster Fruit Tarts are a convenient breakfast tart made with fortified whole grains, real fruit and Bioenergy RIBOSE. Available in four flavorsApricot Peach, Blueberry, Fig and Mangothe Tarts are caffeine free and heart smart. Consumers can supercharge their breakfast by also adding Ribo Charger Creamer to their coffee. The low-fat, caffeine-free creamer is packaged in single-serve cups and in pints and comes in three flavors: Hazelnut, Dark Chocolate and Caramel.

Bioenergy is also highlighting Gabes Ribo Energy Gel Shots, an all-natural energy supplement designed to support muscle performance. Because ribose is an essential building block of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), it helps the muscles store energy and supports recovery. Athletes can consume the shots before or after exercise to enhance performance and endurance, and reduce muscle cramping and soreness. Made with real fruit and Bioenergy RIBOSE, the shots come in Acai Pomegranate, Mango Passion and Very Berry flavors.

Bioenergy RIBOSE is GRAS (generally recognized as safe) affirmed, with FDA notification; the ingredient is highly stable and easy to incorporate into a range of food and beverage formulations.
