Biopolymer Engineering Enters Agreement with U.S. Military

EAGAN, Minn.--Biopolymer Engineering and The HenryM. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine Inc. entered ajoint research agreement with the Armed Forces Radiobiology Research Institute (AFRRI)to determine the radio protective benefits of Biopolymer's patented beta 1,3glucans and to implement the effects. Under the agreement, Biopolymer (www.biopolymer.com)and AFRRI will conduct a series of studies to determine the safety and efficacyof orally administered WGP Beta Glucan to protect animals against radiation andinfectious disease.

Biopolymer also announced Scotts Valley, Calif.-based SourceNaturals will use the WGP Beta Glucan in a new dietary supplement.
