Brydon Named California Avocado Commission Field Representative

IRVINE, CAThe California Avocado Commission (CAC) has hired Wayne Brydon as its new field representative responsible for crop estimates used to develop sales and marketing strategies for the California avocado industry.
Brydon brings to the Commission 30 years of agriculture experience providing estimates and harvest management to hundreds of avocado growers. He has also successfully led grower responses to major events like freezes, windfalls and pest quarantines.
In his new position, Brydon will work with growers from San Diego to San Luis Obispo counties, serving as a communication liaison between growers, the Commission, and county and state agriculture officials.
In addition to a degree in economics, Brydon has completed M.B.A. course work in rural real estate appraisal and farm business management. He served as a field representative for Calavo Growers and was field director for the McDaniel Fruit Company. He is also a director and past president of the California Avocado Society. Brydon resides in Fallbrook with his wife of 31 years, Dale. Their son Paul is 27 and daughter Emily is 24.
