CEDAR RAPIDS, IowaEmbriaHealth Sciences is a new company offering ingredients to the human nutritionmarket; its parent company, Diamond V Mills, supplies a range of animalnutritional products including fermented yeast ingredients. Paul R. Faganel, a10- year exec with Diamond V, was appointed president of Embria(www.embriahealth.com). The companys initial offering is eXselen, a fullypasteurized selenium yeast. The ingredient is manufactured using a proprietarytechnology based off a similar one used by its parent company.
