Florida Treatt Renamed, Relocated

LAKELAND, Fla.--Treatt plc announced it hasrelocated and renamed its U.S. operations. Formerly known as Florida Treatt andlocated in Haines City, Treatt USA has been housed in a new 65,000-square-footbuilding in Lakeland since the end of September. Treatt USA employs 29 people,and its modern, spacious facilities were designed in compliance with goodmanufacturing practices (GMPs). The new premises contain a dedicated productionarea for the company's Treattarome FTNF (from the named food) naturaldistillates. The Lakeland facility incorporates an 11,000-square-foot warehouseand gives the company increased processing and blending capacity. Additionally,the technical laboratories--including quality control, applications andsampling--have all been expanded and upgraded. The total investment was $6million.

"This is a very positive move for us and a sign of ourcontinued commitment to meeting customer demands," said Hugo Bovill,managing director at Treatt plc. "The new, larger plant provides Treatt USAwith state-of-the-art laboratories, as well as increased space for productinventory. With an additional five acres of undeveloped ground, there is alsoplenty of scope for future developments."

In related news, John Boddington, Ph.D., joined Treatt USA toserve as a natural products manager. He will be responsible for overseeingcommercial, production and R&D functions related to Treattarome naturaldistillates.
