Fresh Juice Recalled

GLENDORA, Calif.--On April 20, California Day-Fresh Foods voluntarily recalled all itsunpasteurized fresh juice in six states because of possible salmonella contamination.Salmonella infection is marked by vomiting, diarrhea, fever, severe headache and abdominalpain.

The recalled juices included "Naked" brand orange, grapefruit, lemonade,strawberry lemonade, old-fashioned lemonade and Tangerine Scream juices; Von's orange andgrapefruit juices; Ferraro's orange juice and Trader Joe's blood orange juice.

Fourteen cases of salmonella poisoning were reported in Colorado, Nevada and SouthernCalifornia. The products were recalled in those areas as well as in Arizona, Oregon andWashington. The company's pasteurized juices have not been recalled and were unaffected.
