Geni Starts Studies on Boswellia Extract
CARMEL, Ind.--Geni Inc. started a series ofpharmacokinetic studies on its Boswellia serrata extract, WokVel. Thestudies are designed to determine optimum dose and dosing schedule, correlateplasma concentrations with observed beneficial effects, look for adverse drugreactions and examine toxicity levels. Geni (www.geniherbs.com)anticipates releasing the results in late September.
The company also announced it is in the protocol stage ofdeveloping a study examining the effects of a proprietary formulation in themanagement of diabetes.
