HealthZone.com Makes Internet Acquisitions

LOS ANGELES--HealthZone.com, a division of OMNI Nutraceuticals Inc., acquired an online vitamin retailer and its sister site, an information portal. The sites, VitaminDiscount.com and Alt-Health.com, were acquired for an undisclosed amount.
The vitamin site has more than 14,000 products; the information portal is a virtual library of "commercial-free" health information, culled from sources such as the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) and national news sources such as USA Today.
HealthZone.com operates a health products site, which will be complemented by the new additions, commented HealthZone.com president and chief executive officer, Klee Irwin.
