MILAN, ItalyIndena announced the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) and the International Tropical Timber Organisation (ITTO) released its new documentary "Custodians of the Forest."

The documentary is the very first to illustrate the sustainable management and corporate social responsibility program of Prunus africana. Prunus africana, also known as pygeum africanum Hooker, helps reduce symptoms associated with the early stages of benign prostatic hyperplasia.

It is based on the ongoing project "Non-detriment Findings for Prunus africana (Hook.f.) Kalkman in Cameroon". CITES officers in Cameroon use the collected data on Prunus-related products to regulate the collection of Prunus tree bark and manage the suitability of the natural resource.

The video is currently available on Indena's Youtube channel.

In September, Indena announced a partnership with DKSH to distribute its personal care ingredients in China. The agreement broadened Indena's presence in the global cosmetics market.
