ISP Increases Alginates Prices
WAYNE, N.J.InternationalSpecialty Products (ISP) raised prices by 7 percent on its alginates-basedproducts, effective Nov. 1. The company said the increase is the result ofescalating alginate raw material costs, as well as increases in energy coststhat have exacerbated an already difficult trading environment. The increase will be permitted pursuant to the terms ofexisting customer contracts.
ISP said it will continue to follow its aggressive costcontainment program and improve operating efficiencies to absorb the effects ofcost increases wherever possible.
