Jarrows BioSil Benefits Skin Health

LOS ANGELESResults of a clinical trial investigating the effects of Jarrow Formulas BioSil on sun damaged or prematurely aging skin were presented at the International Symposium of the International Society for Bioengineering and the Skin, held in Orlando, Fla., in late October 2004. Scientists at the Free University of Brussels, Belgium, conducted a 20-week, double blind, placebo-controlled study using 50 women ages 40 to 65, who had clear signs of sun damage or premature aging. The women received 10 mg/d of BioSil or a placebo. The BioSil group showed up to 30-percent reduction in micro wrinkles, a 55-percent improvement in skin elasticity, and significant reduction of brittleness in hair and nails.
