JECFA Affirms Safety of Metafolin®

SCHAFFHAUSEN, SwitzerlandTheJoint FAO/WHO Expert Committee on Food Additives (JECFA) approved Metafolin®, apatented form of folate produced by Merck Eprova AG, as safe for use in foodsand dietary supplements during its July meeting in Geneva. Metafolin(www.metafolin.com) was previously approved for sale by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the European FoodSafety Authority.
