KARNATAKA, India—Natural Remedies Pvt. Ltd. announced the publication of toxicity studies on their clinically tested standardized Andrographis paniculata extract sold under the brand name KalmCold™. Toxicity studies like Ames test, acute oral toxicity, chromosome aberration and micronucleus studies have been published in Food and Chemical Toxicology, 2009 May 15.

These studies were done as per OECD guidelines. The successful completion and results of these studies re-enforce the safety of KalmCold for consumption and adds further value to traditional uses of Andrographis paniculata. With these studies, KalmCold is in a unique position supported by four toxicity studies to validate safety.
