Kemin Launches Lutein Education Campaign

DES MOINES, Iowa--Kemin Foods launched a majorinitiative to educate consumers on the growing body of evidence showing how itspurified FloraGLO lutein helps promote long-term eye health. The product wasused in 10 published, peer-reviewed human trials, according to Kemin (www.kemin.com),and this information will be promoted on a broad scale through public relations,broadcast media and other educational efforts. In 2003, the company issponsoring a major public television program on eye health and will continue itsfour-year-old brand-building work with customers and retailers to educateconsumers on the value of FloraGLO.

"We're hearing more and more consumers asking for FloraGLOlutein in the products they're using," said Steve Hanson, director ofmarketing. "Working alongside our customers, this effort will generatemillions of impressions and highlight the benefits of FloraGLO lutein comparedto other alternative lutein or lutein ester ingredient forms."
