Lakeview Farm, Oceans Omega Develop Omega-3 Fortified Gelatins

PARAMUS, N.J.Lakeview Farms launched the world's first commercially produced omega-3 fortified gelatins in partnership with Oceans Omega.

Each cup of omega-3 enhanced gelatin offers 32 mg of essential omega-3s, with eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). It also contains 10 calories, no gluten and comes in four flavors strawberry, orange, passion fruit and pink grapefruit.

Oceans Omega incorporated its highly purified omega-3 branded oils into their gelatins, including Meg-3, lifesDHA and OmegaActiv®. Oceans Omegas technology provides water-soluble and stabilized omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA for use in standard manufacturing processes, such as cold-fill, hot-fill and carbonation. Omega-3 fatty acids have been shown to support cognitive function in children and seniors.

In a 2013 survey, researchers found customers today want more omega-3 alternatives rather than just fish oil.
