Lesaffre Promotes Yeast for Health

PARIS—Lesaffre Group established the Lesaffre Nutrition & Health® division, which includes six segments dedicated to human, animal and plant nutrition and health. The Lesaffre Human Care® segment is focused on human nutrition and health, as well as the beauty market; products in this segment are being offered under the Lynside® trademark. The product range includes four categories encompassing 30 products, all of which are derived from yeast and designed to be incorporated into dietary supplements and functional foods. In addition, Lesaffre plans a progressive product launch strategy, kicking off in late 2008.

The Lynside (Lesaffre Yeast Inside) brand includes Lynside Nutri® inactive nutritional yeasts, Lynside Forte® fortified yeasts, Lynside Wall® yeast cell walls, and Lynside YE® soluble yeast extracts. The ingredients contain many components including B vitamins, proteins, minerals and essential amino acids to support the body’s growth, cell metabolism and immune health. All Lesaffre products are produced under high quality standards, including Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACP) certification, ISO 9000 certification and in-house quality control measures.
