The session is set for Thursday, Nov. 8, from 3 to 3:50 p.m. Liu will present a condensed version of this talk at the AIDP booth, #20014, on Nov. 7 at 2 p.m. and Nov. 8, at 11 a.m.

Liu, summarizing 10 years of research from MIT, will review different magnesium compounds and their ability to increase the brains magnesium level. Magnesium compounds differ significantly in brain bioavailability, thus their ability to increase synaptic plasticity that leads to increased memory and cognitive function.  Dr. Liu will review the biochemistry and the signaling mechanisms behind this new development in cognitive function and the effect of magnesium L-threonate on Alzheimers disease in animal models as well as the recent study on examining the magnesium level of Alzheimers patients families.

Liu also helped develop Magtein, a magnesium L-threonate ingredient  sold exclusively by AIDP Inc. Magtein has self-affirmed GRAS status and has been shown in studies to significantly increase brain magnesium levels, and improve short-term and long-term memory as well as spatial recognition.
