Maitake D-Fraction Enhances Immune Function

RIDGEFIELD PARK, N.J.MaitakeProducts Inc. issued a release on study results due to be published in theJuly-September issue of the Journal of the AmericanHolistic Veterinary Medical Association. In the study,conducted at Osaka Prefecture University in Japan, 22 dogs with solid tumorswere treated with surgery, chemotherapy, radiation or a combination.Simultaneously, they received Maitake D-Fraction twice per day at a dose of 3drops/kg body weight. The supplement helped maintain the dogs appetite andbody weight. Also, 13 of 17 dogs that had immunologic testing conducted showedan increase in lymphocyte fraction in peripheral blood, and 11 of those dogs hadno recurrence for 10 months after the cancer diagnosis.
