SAN DIEGO--Metabolife International, marketer of herbal dietary supplements, expanded its distribution into retail stores. It began selling its herbal products in retail outlets across the country on Aug. 1. The participating grocery and drug stores include Von's, Sav-On and Albertson's. The company's independent distributors will remain in place.

The expansion is in conjunction with an expanded weight loss line and new products, according to Metabolife's director of public relations, Michael Rothmiller.

"Additionally, we continue to work closely with our numerous independent distributors who market Metabolife products from kiosks in malls as well as direct sales to their friends and neighbors," said Rothmiller.
