SAN CLEMENTE, Calif.Metagenics, Inc. will host its first Lifestyle Medicine Summit in September to address the growing epidemic of chronic illness. Metagenics, a nutrigenomics and lifestyle medicine company, focuses on reducing chronic illness and improving health.

The conference, held on Sept. 20 to 30 in Dana Point, Calif., will discuss how science-based protocols can shrink the current epidemic in clinical practice.

The Lifestyle Medicine Summit will feature 14 leaders in the field, including Jeffrey Bland, PhD, and Mark Hyman, MD. Attendees can also learn from John Gray, Ph.D, author of Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus.

With the worldwide epidemic of chronic disease impacting our health and our economies, there's no debating that lifestyle medicine is a powerful force that cannot only help prevent, but also alleviate many of these illnesses," said Jeffrey Bland, Ph.D, FACS, CNS, chief science officer for Metagenics.

In May, Metagenics held events in Los Angeles and New York focusing on a whole systems approach to diabetes and obesity.
