New Wellmune WGP Applications at IFT

EAGAN, Minn.Biothera will showcase new applications of its Wellmune WGP®, natural immune booster, at the 2013 IFT Annual Meeting and Food Expo in Chicago. 

The company is offering attendees a variety of samples including Prodefensis Yogurt from Grupo Gloria that contains Wellmune as well as a probiotic. Also offered are Prebiotic Freeze Pops with Immune Support made by Fun Treats, Inc., and Tubulars Immunity Straws from Unistraw USA. Several other Wellmune applications will also be available for sampling.

The new innovations demonstrate the versatility of Wellmune as an ingredient that can be incorporate into any food or beverage as it's stable to heat, pH, chemical and pressure associated with any manufacturing process, said Richard G. Muller, CEO, Biothera.

Wellmune is a beta 1, 3/1, 6 glucan derived from a proprietary strain of baker's yeast.
