KEARNY, N.J.—Recent studies have investigated a broad scope of potential health applications for extracts derived from hops flowers (Humulus lupulus). Jim Roufs, M.S., president of Intelligent Nutrition, will provide an overview of hops extract fractions, with a special focus on Pharmachem Laboratories’ patented Perluxan™ anti-inflammatory, analgesic ingredient. A new offering, Osteogene™, which has been shown to inhibit bone resorption in animal models, will also be introduced. Pharmachem supplies the industry with four distinct hops products which, unlike typical hops extracts, contain virtually no sleep-inducing or phytoestrogenic compounds.
