RhodioLife May Increase Physical Performance

MORRISTOWN, N.J.RhodioLife Russian Rhodiola rosea from P.L.Thomas & Co. Inc. may increase energy and physical performance, according torecent research.

Researchers administered 50 mg/kg of R. rosea extract, 50 mg/kg of R.crenulata extract or placebo to rats 30 minutes prior to completing anexhaustive swimming test conducted over six days. Rats given R. rosea were ableto swim 20-percent longer than rats given R. crenulata and 26-percent longerthan rats given placebo. Mitochondrial ATP levels after exercise were reduced by22 percent in rats given R. rosea, compared to 31 percent in rats given R.crenulata and placebo, according to researchers. After 24 hours of rest, ATPlevels recovered almost to starting levels in rats given R. rosea compared torats given R. crenulata or placebo, which still had low ATP levels.
