EAST WINDSOR, N.J.Sabinsa Corp., a company specializing in manufacturing and marketing phytonutrients, herbal extracts  and specialty chemicals, announced its new development of curcuminoids, Curcumin C3 Reduct. The new development addresses the core concerns of potency, color, dosage, stability and bioavailability of curcuminoids throughout the nutraceutical industry.

"For some time, curcuminoids have been poised to be the most widely used supplement based upon the range of real health benefits, as demonstrated by a robust body of science ," said Shaheen Majeed, marketing director at Sabinsa. "But this has been held back by several stumbling blocks. The vivid color of curcumin is a manufacturing nightmare for many companies; our Curcumin C3 Reduct is a white powder."

According to Sabinsa, its Curcumin C3 Reduct is patented and clinically safe 95 percent tetrahydrocurcuminoids recommended for oral supplementation. The product will also be more effective as an antioxidant for a longer period of time and result in cumulatively greater activity.

Last month, Sabinsa received a European patent (EP 1968620) for SelenoForce, a selenium-enriched garlic product.
