Next Pharmaceuticals released results of an in-house study demonstrating the efficacy of its proprietary botanical product, Seditol®, in promoting healthy sleep. Conducted at the Living Longer Clinic in Cincinnati, the open label, single center trial involved 618 subjects who reported having trouble falling asleep or staying asleep. They received Seditol one hour before bedtime for a minimum of 14 days; at the end of the trial, 92 percent of subjects reported the product helped them relax, 88 percent reported a more restful night’s sleep, and 89 percent said the product helped reduce fatigue due to lack of sleep. There were no adverse events, and only minor “dislikes” among 7 percent of subjects, including headaches, bad taste or unpleasant dreams.

“We are very excited as well as heartened by the results of this study,” said Bob Garrison, R.PH., chief executive officer (CEO) and president of Next Pharmaceuticals. “Sleep issues are experienced by more than 70 million Americans ... [and] the study confirms Seditol is safe and effective, and will help a lot of people who are very tired of being tired.”
