ALBERTA, CanadaSolo GINutrition Inc. sent 46,000 of its low glycemic index (GI) meal replacement barsto the Vitamin Angel Alliance for distribution to victims of the December 2004Southeast Asian tsunami.

According to Saul Katz, president of Solo GI(www.solo-gi.com), the donation through Vitamin Angel allowed the company tomake a difference and supply healthy packaged foods. Solo GIs new lowglycemic bars are particularly useful for the survivors because the bars delivernutritional balance and energy on a slow release basis, enabling sustainedenergy and a feeling of fullness longer to help people live better, he added.
