MOMENCE, Ill.A new study published in Nutrition found calcium fructoborate may improve inflammatory response and lipid markers. The randomized, double blind, parallel clinical trial analyzed supplementation of calcium fructoborate (from FutureCeuticals), resveratrol and a combination over 60 days. The study included 166 patients with stable angina pectoris.

The researchers from Craiova Cardiology Center, Romania, found calcium fructoborate decreased angina episodes and improved quality of life, whether used alone or in tandem with resveratrol. The supplementation also reduced levels of C-reactive protein (CRP) by 40 percent, as well as improving lipid markers and total cholesterol.

In a newly released study by University of Florida researchers, resveratrol improved memory and cognitive function in elderly adults.
