BENICIA, Calif.—FUZE Beverage, a division of Coca-Cola Co., is introducing its FUZE Slenderize beverages into high school vending machines in the United States, in an effort to address childhood obesity. Two key ingredients in the products, Super CitriMax® and ChromeMate®, are supplied by InterHealth Nutraceuticals (InterHealthUSA.com). “As the incidence of childhood obesity grows, food and beverage manufacturers need to develop healthier products and packaging innovations that will appeal to children and teens,” stated Paul Dijkstra, InterHealth’s CEO. “The statistics drive home that need and Coca-Cola is to be congratulated for meeting the challenge. Providing FUZE’s Slenderize products in schools gives kids a convenient alternative to the usual sugar-laden fare found in vending machines.”
