Cargill Pens Deal with Corazonas Snacks

LOS ANGELESCoroWise brand plant sterols will now feature in the full line of Corazonas snacks, thanks to a new agreement between Corazonas Foods and Cargill, which makes CoroWise . The theme emerging from this partnership is those concerned about cholesterol and heart health can love snacking again, as plant sterols have been clinically shown to reduce cholesterol. Corazonas packages with the CoroWise brand logo are already beginning to hit store shelves.

Corazonas tortilla chips, potato chips, and Oatmeal Squares will now be made exclusively with CoroWise plant sterols, with 0.4 grams in each ounce (one serving) of potato or tortilla chips, and 0.8 grams in each Oatmeal Squarethe FDA-authorized health claim currently recommends that one consume at least 0.4 grams of plant sterols twice each day to start seeing cholesterol lowering benefits.
