DSM Lauded for tensVida Product

HEERLEN, NetherlandsDSM announced its tensVida® branded lactotripeptide ingredient was recognized as Outstanding Application in Nutraceuticals at the European Outsourcing Awards, sponsored by Via Media. The judges in the category recognized DSMs development work in collaboration with the University of Maastricht, a large dairy company, a prominent consumer products company and TNO, a leading research organization.

tensVida has already received multiple international industry recognitions, including the 2009 NutrAward for most innovative, evidence-based health and nutrition ingredient at Nutracon, the Gold Award for the best innovation in health ingredients at HiE 2008, and two finalist positions at Drinktec 2009. The branded ingredient contains specific, naturally occurring dairy peptides including isoleucine-proline-proline (IPP) that have been shown to help maintain normal blood pressure, which have been released and activated using enzymatic technology. It can be used in a variety of applications including dietary supplements, beverages and foods.
