PromOat Debuts in Oatworks® Smoothies

CONCORD, Mass.Oatworks®' new line of healthy oat and fruit smoothies features PromOat, the oat beta glucan ingredient from Biovelop, to provide satiety, energy and the FDA heart health claim for cholesterol reduction.

Our objective with Oatwork was to create a range of delicious, natural and genuinely healthy products, which allow our customers to enjoy the incredible benefits of oatmeal while on the go," said Tom First, Managing Partner at First Beverage Group, which is managing the Oatworks product line, and one of the two Toms" who co-founded Nantucket Nectars.

Oatworks will initially be launched in three flavorsMango & Peach, Pomegranate & Blueberry, and Strawberry & Bananawith additional flavors planned for later in the year.

The Oatworks smoothies will be the first products in the USA to be co-branded with PromOat, which is naturally derived from Swedish oats using Biovelops patented technology. In October 2011, German health drink company Hans-Günter Berner GmbH & Co. KG enhanced its Cellagon aurum® brand with PromOat.
